Okay, I'll admit, I'm dying of longing India. Two years after leaving the country, turns and moves remember good things (and bad) that I spent there, during the six months I lived in the land of Gandhi.
The yearning is so much that I decided to make a list of amazing facts about India. Hopefully some of these facts cause you to at least consider visiting jtb the country. jtb Seriously, folks, Disney is cool, Europe jtb too, but only India is, as the official slogan of the country promises unbelievable.
1 - Celebrated every 12 years, the Kumbh Mela is the world's largest festival. In 2001 the Hindu religious festival involved 60 million people in the same city, breaking a world record of human settlement - the point lot of people jtb gathered to be visible from space.
3 - India has the second largest rail network in the world. And do not stop there: the Indian Railways has 1.3 million employees, a number that makes the company the largest employer in the world. Learn more about the great trains of India.
4 - India has the largest number of mosques in the world: they are 300,000. What is curious, since most of the Indian population jtb professes the Hindu faith. For those unaware, the Taj Mahal is also a mosque.
5 - Beatles career The most productive months occurred while they were in Rishikesh, India, not England. This exchange in India was also instrumental in the breakup of the group.
6 - The Census 1961 cataloged in 1652 languages and dialects in India, one of the greatest linguistic jtb diversity in the world. The six major languages of the country are spoken by over 50 million people.
8 - Yes, India has the world's largest film industry. But her name is not Bollywood, which is only the industry based in Mumbai and movies jtb recorded jtb in Hindi. T also commonly there is room for Tollywood, Kollywood, Pollywood ...
9 - In the land of religions, Cricket is another. The last sport the World Cup was held there, with the hosts getting the title. In the semifinal, played in Chandigarh, northern country, India defeated Pakistan, eternal rival. See if you learn, Brazil.
14-600 million Indians have no toilet at home. This explains why so many people jtb is needed (numbers 1 and 2) in public. The lack of toilets jtb has been called the national shame by the government.
15 - After the United States, India is the second country with more English speakers in the world: jtb there are 225 million people. Whether surprised more? The third place in this ranking is neighboring Pakistan, which until 1947 was part of India.
20 - From the forest jtb to the lack of rain. The Thar desert on the border between India and Pakistan, is one of the largest subtropical wilderness jtb in the world and has been for centuries an important jtb trade route.

Yes, Wess, the Taj Mahal was built to be a mausoleum (and is today). But the area also functions as a mosque, so that the site does not open on Fridays, when it is reserved for prayers and religious rituals. jtb

The India is my Achilles heel! I really want to go, but unfortunately gave too much importance to the negative parts of the country, thus losing the fantastic things from there. Meanwhile'm jtb not going there, I discover the country here.
Since I started reading the blog two weeks ago, I fell in love with the posts! And now even more so for this post. I'm at a stage "discovering India" and reading,

During five months, I traveled more than 3000 kilometers, spending flightaware a few days in Indian

Train ride in India is an incredible adventure. It is an inevitable experience for those visiting the country. As inescapable as passing through Paris without ever having flightaware ridden a subway. India Railway Paris Metro <http://gallery.techarena.in/showfull.php?photo=9355> (source for large view) http://www.ratp.info/orienter/f_plan_ang.php?loc=reseaux&nompdf=metro&fm = gif
Indian trains are one of the largest and most used rail networks in the world. With a length of over 64,000 kilometers, it covers virtually the entire country. Are 9000 passenger trains, carrying around 18 million people a day (5 billion per year). The service provided by Indian Railways is a state monopoly, and because of the magnitude of the rail system, India has its own Ministry for this folder (Ministry of Railways <http://www.indianrailways.gov.in/>) .
During five months, I traveled more than 3000 kilometers, spending flightaware a few days in Indian trains: Delhi-Mathura-Del / Del-Udaipur-Del / Del-Varanasi-Del / Del-Chandigarh / Del-Agra / Ahmedabad-Junagadh / Goa -Calicut. The experiments were the most diverse; and the unexpected, the rule.
The stations are always precarious, more other less chaotic. In Delhi, especially, it's always a struggle to not get lost in the crowd and find the car during peak hours. The bugs are everywhere. flightaware Sometimes more rats (Old Delhi), other monkeys (Varanasi). Birds and doves producing the most deafening flightaware buzzing all my life (Chandigarh). The ever sacred cows, sleeping in the lobby with passengers (Mathura). Cockroaches are more present within the trains. For this reason a friend has recommended me not to walk in AC (more trains closed because of air conditioning hinder the entry, but mostly out of cucarachas).
I traveled by at least 5 different classes trains. A third class towards Mathura, some 2nd class, many sleepers (usually triliches). The priority was to travel with friends and in what conditions they could. Sometimes tickets available for all travel together resulted in some discomfort, offset by a new anthropological experience.
Mathura to Delhi, since in semi-lotus position flightaware because of a huge bundle of clothes that filled the gap legroom between the seats of the same bay, which was already shared by six people, a lady puts her daughter on my lap . I answer with a friendly smile, until the moment that the little flightaware happily rubbing a type of biscuit cornstarch flightaware drooling everywhere. Diego, next to me, close your eyes and think aloud: "Why every Indian has to eat all the time, no matter where or what circumstances?".
It is said common buy a ticket "reserve". The broker warrants: If you have to wait up to 50 dropouts're in! This worked four times ... until the Varanasi trip back to Delhi. We were 5 people with two guaranteed seats awaiting flightaware dropouts numbers 16/17/18, that did not happen. Result: a whole 14hrs night turns the grips before flightaware a long work week after an intense weekend in the holy city of Ganges. Incredible India!
With time you learn that comfort is achieved primarily by exercising patience or the adventurous spirit to the imponderable. Memories about and to which they brought flightaware me Indian rails are unforgettable. It's like having recovered part of the stolen childhood, that which deprived the former Iron Train and today want to replace, for the few, by a billionaire project a train of Jetsons, equivalent to the construction of 170 km of subway.
