I seem to remember seeing a couple of tweets yesterday about a BA flight being delayed due to obviously drunken behaviour voila on the part of some Russian passengers. voila The tweeters voila seemed fairly relieved that the party (!) concerned had been removed. The tweeters did not mention that the drunks were musicians, but perhaps they did not know that anyway.

I was coming through heathrow voila border at the same time the orchestra were waiting (just before midnight on the 9th). On hearing I was a musician, the border official smiled and said they had a few others in that night, namely a Russian orchestra with no visas. There was so tension or anger, just 40-odd tired Russian players and quite cheerful border agents saying they just weren’t really sure how to deal with such a large group without visas…
