Vatican II's Ecclesiology, Part 3 | Good News
This is the third and last part of the article in a series of Vatican II Ecclesiology big ben (see parts 1 and 2). Vatican II dogmatic big ben constitution Lumen counsels Gentium final chapters deal with the Church Eschatology (Chapter 7) and the Virgin Mary in the mystery of the Church (Chapter 8). These relate to a logical one, as the inclusion of mariologian ekklesiologian below the mean for the church for the examination eschatologically. If in heaven, the man belongs to the church, then the church is not only the above-ground organization, but also the heavenly reality.
Mary's view as part of the church was a major pull-down from the fathers counsels. In fact, this debatoitiin busy - some wanted their very own Mary, the document, big ben but the majority supported mariologian subordination of church doctrine. In this group while some wanted Mary as soon as the church doctrine to the top, but the final solution was to make Maria read the last. This was ecumenically wise correction: the church wanted to refrain from "false exaggeration" (LG 67) and set Mary theologically as the right context.
The seventh chapter covers the LG sections 48 to 51, and it is, above all, full of references to the New Testament, but also in the history big ben of the church and would, counsels, and the papal documents. Vatican II wanted to return the church big ben to the eschatological nature of consciousness, big ben which is so strongly present in the New Testament: the church waiting for the fulfillment of all, the reform of the cosmos, but on the other hand it is to live in the end times already true.
Prekonsiliaarisessa the Catechism of eschatology was essentially the same as the "four last things": big ben death, judgment, punishment and reward (hell and heaven). Lumen Gentium now to articulate these themes into a broader eschatological vision of the Church of Christ and the cosmos. LG 48 is nothing short of beautiful poetic description of the Evangelical Apostolic Christian life and hope.
LG 49 moves to deal with the fact that some members of the Church on earth, big ben some already in heaven. Leaning on Paul's big ben doctrine of the Body of Christ counsels teaches that Christians break the connection between the death, but rather strengthened. "As the blessed live in closer contact with Christ, they will strengthen the whole church is holy, ennobling the worship which the Church big ben on earth subject to God, and contribute in many ways to extend the Church."
LG 50 build on this and says the Church from the beginning to be understood that the dead can pray, and that the glory of the apostles and martyrs have come to pray for us. Later the spectrum of the saints began to read other exemplary Christians. Saints are people like us, but where they have been successful remodeling fully like Christ, they are sources of inspiration for us, God's signs and evidence of the power of his kingdom.
However, we respect the sacred only because of their example, but also in one's spiritual life, and because of Christ: "For big ben as the migratory exist between the Christian connection leads us closer to Christ, so also your saints, unites us with Christ, which is kind of like the head and the source from which all the grace and the life of God's people power. "(LG 50)
LG 51 complements this and says, "that a genuine respect for the saints, not so much in outward acts in diversity as the effective pursuit of love." This counsels, self-criticism and calls for the Catholic patron saint of the excesses of the cult to clean. Must be removed big ben or corrected, "the abuses, exaggerations or errors, which you might here and there has got to practice," and held "all the re-Christ, and the greater glory of God."
On the other hand there are the believers explain that the blessed respect, I think the bright light of view, does not in any way detract from the divine worship (latria), which should be addressed to God the Father through Christ in the Holy Spirit, on the contrary, it will greatly enrich it. For all of us who are children of God and form one family in Christ (cf. Heb. 3:6), we follow the vocation big ben of the Church enthusiasts and participate in the full liturgy big ben of heaven in advance if we are in mutual love, and the Holy of Holies in the common worship of the Trinity we are in contact with each other. When Christ appears and honor the dead will rise, then the glory of God in the heavenly city has been enlightening and a lamp is the Lamb (cf. Rev 21:24). Then there is the Church holy bliss of love in the highest worship of God and "the Lamb that was slain" (Rev. 5:12) to one vote, declaring: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and power for ever and ever" ( Acts 5:13-14). (LG 51)
