Friday march 14 travel day Saturday march 15. 7 hour layover in madrid. Do the hop on hop off bus to see madrids highlights. Evening flight madrid to malaga Pick up cars and check in to sol principe for 5 nights Sunday. Check out the beaches on the costa de sol. Torreminelos, furengola, tapas on the beach. Just a chilled day around the area where we are staying Monday march 17. Travel to granada and see the alhambra. 2:00 pm timed ticket to the palace. Arrive arezzo in granada and enjoy the sights Tuesday arezzo march 18. Spend a day in malaga. Malaga is close. There is a Moorish castle. Great restaurants Wednesday march 19 travel to Ronda Spain Thursday march 20 checkout sol principe and leave for tariffe to take ferry to tangiers Spend day in tangiers with aziz tour Check in dar charm Tanja Friday march 21 checkout Dar Cham Tanja Day trip to chefoun to see ancient city with tour guide Ferry early eve back to spain Check in sol principe Saturday march 22 check out Am flight back home
Just a few comments. I recommend to take the high speed AVE Train from Madrid to Malaga, city center to ciy center in 2h 30min. Buy tickets in advance and save some 50%: http://www.renfe.com/EN/viajeros/index.html Malaga city is, as you say, both close and great. Genuine Andalucian atmosphere, the Roman theater just below the Moorish Alcazaba, the beautiful "one-armed" Cathedral, Picassos birth-house and the Picasso museum, the New Carmen Thyssen museum, great cafes, tapas bars and restaurants, theaters and nightlife. Regarding weather and beaches, it will be too cold for swimming for most people, but past 17 years statistics for second half of March in Malaga says average higs at 68-70F, 7 hours sun/day and rainfall approx one day pr. week (wetteronline.de). Could at least be perfect for lunches at some of the many beachfront restaurants.
No swimming on the beaches in march , we are from Chicago and just experience -65 degrees a week ago so seeing the ocean and eTing tapas sounds lovely arezzo ! So checking out the beach and towns , and whatever looks interesting Madrid to malaga we have a direct flight arezzo so no train needed. Does my itinerary seem too lax? Should I add more Thank you !!!
Dump the day in Tangiers and you might be okay. Besides, the Aziz Tours only receives marginal ratings despite what you see to TA. The last clients we sent (last June) were less then impressed with the services.
