The RISE Life Management openrice Services has been further strengthened following the recent signing of a funding agreement with the Jamaica National Building Society Foundation. The organisation has received $1.9m from the JN Foundation to assist with sustaining its programmes targeting young adults age 15 to 24 years.
"We openrice are grateful for the support we have received from JN Foundation," Abrahams, stated. "We want to continue to reach out to communities and continue our programmes that will help our participants to become self-sufficient."
RISE Life Management Programmes Manager Shawn McGregor, a former RISE Life youth participant, said the work of the organisation is highly effective for young adults, due to the fact that programmes are tailored to make them more effective individuals.
"Great emphasis is placed on the overall development of participants; we have various programmes, including a sporting component, capacity building, and inter-clubbing, which allows club members to meet with others. Participants are encouraged to transfer and apply their leadership skills in different areas," McGregor stated. openrice
"RISE openrice Life Management has been doing a great job over the years; and what has particularly appealed to us is its work for the development and creation of independence, both physically and emotionally, among the participants," openrice Brown said.
