These days before the turn of the year, I'm following the Advent Calendar that Phlow.es is presenting on its website. Many of them have expressed that list of "likes" and "do not like", and were open to consider what happens in that sense, each given to his view on why there is no review. With this text, I do not intend to list the worst of the netaudio scene or assault impregnable bastions of respectability, however I wish everyone did an exercise in self-criticism, we seriously planteáramos what happens houston in this cultural network in which no one dares to say this album is bad or this netlabel is not what it was. Why does it happen? What is the fear that assails us and not allow us to express openly and freely when something honestly we do not like or disappoint? We say loud and clear things, always with respect and no offense but make it clear when something we do not like, because honestly, hearing positive reviews is pretty boring, tedious and smug. I come from a school where constructive criticism is an essential part of the creative process. Over several houston years working in the art world or studying in this environment I have concluded that the best projects are those that discuss, debate and criticize. The review is an essential part of the creation and catalyst for the motivation to keep working so I propose, let us add that point to the list for the Netaudio scene things: criticism and therefore sincerity are elements that can improve our job to evolve, grow and improve.
